What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information. Except as described below, this Privacy Policy applies to all personal information we collect when you access or use our services, websites, and apps, (collectively, our “Services”), communicate with us (such as by mail, email, phone, chat, social media, or in-person), and otherwise interact with us or our representatives.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third party websites, services and applications (“Third Party Services”) that you elect to access through the Services or to individuals that we do not manage or employ. While we attempt to facilitate access only to those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy or that you request through your use of the Services, we cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of any Third Party Services you access.
How We Collect Your Personal Information
The types of personal information we collect depend on your interactions with us and the nature of the Services we provide to you. We collect personal information about you in five primary ways: data collected directly from you; data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies; data collected from affiliates and third parties; derived data collected using or combining additional personal information about you; and data collected through aggregate metrics.

We may collect personal information directly from you in a variety of ways, including when you apply, sign up, or pay for our Services, create or modify an online account, fill out a form or survey, interact with our representatives, or submit information through our Services. Personal Information Automatically Collected Through Cookies and Similar Technologies
When you visit our Site and use our Services, we may collect certain user information automatically from your device. In some states, including California, this information may be considered personal information under applicable privacy laws.
Specifically, the user information we collect automatically may include information like your IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser-type, broad geographic location (e.g. country or city-level location) and other technical information. We may also collect user information about how your device has interacted with our Site, including the pages accessed, keystrokes, and links clicked, using session replay technology.
Collecting this information enables us to better understand the visitors who come to our Site, where they come from, and what content on our Site is of interest to them. We use this information for our business purposes, including internal analytics purposes, IT purposes, such as troubleshooting and maintaining our Site. We also seek to constantly improve the quality and relevance of our Site to our visitors. Only our Product, Engineering, and Support teams have access to this information.
Glide Services use cookies and similar technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, and JavaScript (collectively, “Cookies”) to enable our servers to recognize your web browser and tell us how and when you visit and use our Services, to analyze trends, learn about our user base and operate and improve our Services. We may also supplement the information we collect from you with information received from third parties, including third parties that have placed their own Cookies on your device(s). We use the following types of Cookies:
• Essential Cookies. Essential Cookies are required for providing you with features or services that you have requested. For example, certain Cookies enable you to log into secure areas of the Glide Services. Disabling these Cookies may make certain features and services unavailable.
• Functional Cookies. Functional Cookies are used to record your choices and settings regarding the Glide Services, maintain your preferences over time and recognize you when you return to the Glide Services. These Cookies help us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
• Performance/Analytical Cookies. Performance/Analytical Cookies allow us to understand how visitors use our Services such as by collecting information about the number of visitors to the Services, what pages visitors view on our Services and how long visitors are viewing pages on the Services. Performance/Analytical Cookies also help us measure the performance of our advertising campaigns in order to help us improve our campaigns and the Services’ content for those who engage with our advertising. For example, Google Inc. (“Google”) uses cookies in connection with its Google Analytics services. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Glide Services is subject to the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. Personal Information We Collect from Affiliates and Third-parties
If you choose to log-in, access or otherwise connect to the Glide Services, or contact Glide through a third-party service, we may, for example, collect identifiers including your user ID and user name associated with that service, as well as any information you make public using that service. Personal Information We Derive
We may derive personal information or draw inferences about your preferences or characteristics based on the other personal information we collect. For example, we may infer that you are staying in another country based on your IP address to estimate your general location. This data, when stripped of all personally identifiable information in combination with the data of others to create a statistical summary, is identified as Derived Data.
YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE MAINTAINED ON AND TRANSFERRED TO COMPUTERS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF YOUR STATE, PROVINCE, COUNTRY OR OTHER GOVERNMENTAL JURISDICTION WHERE THE PRIVACY LAWS MAY NOT BE AS PROTECTIVE AS THOSE IN YOUR JURISDICTION. IF YOU ARE LOCATED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND CHOOSE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO US, WE TRANSFER PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THE UNITED STATES AND PROCESSES IT THERE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES AND YOUR SUBMISSION OF SUCH INFORMATION EACH REPRESENTS YOUR CONSENT TO THAT TRANSFER.
What About Tracking Technologies and Do Not Track Signals?
We may use tracking technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). We will comply with web browser “do not track” signals that you may set in your web browser regarding the collection of personal information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services.
What Categories of Personal Information We Collect?
The following chart details the categories of personal information that we may collect or have collected over the past twelve (12) months. Please note that we may not collect these categories of personal information for every user, as that will depend on the user’s activity or use in connection with Glide’s Services.
Personal information of Children
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requires that online service providers obtain parental consent before they knowingly collect personally identifiable information online from children who are under 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 18; if you are a child under 18, please do not attempt to register for or otherwise use the Services or send us any personal information. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. How We Use Your Personal Information
The process and use of your personal information are critical and necessary to operate, improve and provide our Services. Accordingly, we collect and use personal information about you for business and commercial purposes, including to:

When We Disclose Your Personal Information

Some categories of personal information may be shared and disclosed for business and commercial purposes and to the extent necessary for Glide to fulfill its obligations under applicable law.

To Compass
Compass, Inc. (“Compass”) has acquired Glide. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, no personal information or identifiable transaction data collected by Glide under this Privacy Policy shall be shared with Compass brokerage entities.
To REALTOR® associations
Glide makes available through our platform electronic versions of certain proprietary real estate transaction forms (also referred to as a “form library” in this Privacy Policy). Glide may be required to make available all usage and transactional information to REALTOR® associations from REALTOR® association members who use a form library through Glide (information which includes personal information).
To Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
We may also share information through or with multiple listing services. MLS database and software is used by real estate brokers in real estate, representing sellers under a listing contract to share information about properties with other brokers who may represent potential buyers or wish to work with a seller's broker in finding a buyer for the property or asset. We may share information about your real estate transactions with the MLS, including logs of page loads, logins, and normal web logging events relative to the MLS data.
To Partners
We work with a number of business partners who help us offer the Glide Services, including, for example, our service providers, device partners, and corporate owners. We may share information collected from or about you with such business partners, including email address, viewing Information, information about your account or device information (e.g., device type, IP address, ZIP code, agent license or brokerage name). This information may be shared for different purposes depending on the partner, including for reporting and analytics, activating, administering, and improving and personalizing your experience with Glide or such partner, including by providing you with more tailored content and features.
To Our Service Providers
We may share personal information with affiliated and unaffiliated companies or individuals we hire or work with to provide services or perform business functions on our behalf. These service providers need access to the personal information to perform the functions we’ve requested of them. Examples of service providers we may engage include print, mail, or email vendors, delivery companies, payment processors, electronic signatures, document conversion technology, visual media editing software, web hosting vendors, cloud service providers, consultants, digital advertising vendors, contest or sweepstakes operators, and social media advertising networks. Glide requires contractors to commit to treat the personal information we provide as confidential, and to use the personal information only to provide the services we have requested they perform on our behalf. We may disclose personal information with other companies, contractors or third parties located outside of the United States of America. Glide takes appropriate measures to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.
To Law Enforcement, Government Agencies, and Courts
We may disclose personal information to third parties involved in legal process or protection matters, including professionals, law firms, government authorities and notaries for auditing and due diligence activities, where we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary, including: To satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request; To enforce or apply agreements, or initiate, render, bill, and collect for services and products (including to collection agencies to obtain payment for our services); To protect the rights, interests, property or safety of Glide or others; In connection with claims, disputes, or litigation – in court or elsewhere; To facilitate or verify the appropriate calculation of taxes, fees, or other obligations due to a local, state, or federal government; and in an emergency.
To Third-parties at Your Direction
We may also share information from or about you with any party when we have your consent or when you otherwise choose to share such information by using Glide Services. For example, these third parties may include providers of real estate form libraries, insurance providers, natural hazard disclosure report providers, and our transaction management system. Certain functions within the Glide Services may give you the option to share, sign, edit or send information. Information you share with third party platforms is subject to that third party’s terms of use and privacy policies, which we recommend you review.
Other Parties at Your Direction
You may permit a real estate professional, client or other third party permission to track the status of a real estate transaction in which you’re involved, including the ability to view and share with others the digital transaction forms submitted through Glide.

Sales of Personal Information
In the preceding twelve (12) months, Glide has not sold any personal information of consumers, including minors.
How We Protect Your Personal Information
The security of your information is important to us. We use a variety of physical, technical, and administrative measures to safeguard information in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure, and modification. For example, we take steps to limit access to sensitive information from or about you to those Glide employees, agents, and contractors who have a legitimate business reason to access such information. We also use measures like encryption and hashing to help protect sensitive information when in transmission. Glide Services use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of personal information that you provide to us. You should also help protect your data by appropriately selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism; limiting access to your computer or device and browser; and signing off after you have finished accessing your account. Although we work to protect the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, please be aware that no method of transmitting data over the Internet or storing data is completely secure, especially if you are sharing business equipment, such as computers, with others. Despite our security efforts, we cannot guarantee that our safeguards will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose personal information. We maintain security incident response plans to investigate and remediate incidents involving unauthorized access to personal information. Data Retention
We will retain your user information and documentation for the retention period required by state and federal law, and may retain it beyond the required period, unless you have revoked your consent or requested to delete certain user information. We may retain certain user information for specific legitimate interests where we have an ongoing business need (for example, account recovery), or to comply with applicable tax, legal or accounting requirements.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to use your user information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in back-up archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. When we dispose of personal information, we use reasonable procedures designed to erase or render it unreadable (for example, shredding documents and wiping electronic media).

Your Rights, Controls and Choices, Including Opt-Out Options
Beginning January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), as further amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”), provides California residents with additional rights as described below.

Right to Request Information About Personal Information Collected
You may request access to the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and you may also request additional details about our information practices, including the categories of personal information we have collected, our business or commercial purposes for collecting or sharing personal information, the sources from which we collect personal information, the types of third parties we share personal information with, the types of personal information we disclose for business purposes, and details about personal information we have sold and to whom. If you exercise this right to access, Glide will send this information, in a portable format, about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Right to Correct and Update Your Personal Information
You have the right to request that we correct or update the personal information that we have collected from you. To submit a request to exercise these rights, log into your account on the Glide website, go to “Account Settings” and correct or update your personal information. Right to Request Deletion Your Personal Information
You have the right to request that we delete the personal information that we have collected from you. Under the CCPA, this right is subject to certain exceptions: for example, we may need to retain your personal information to provide you with the Services or complete a transaction or other action you have requested. If your deletion request is subject to one of these CCPA exceptions, we may deny your deletion request.

Right to Opt Out of “Sharing” (Do Not Share My Personal Information)
Glide provides the “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” link to comply with the CPRA. For more information about why Glide apps and websites contain the “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” link and what happens if you tell Glide not to “share” your personal data with a third party, please click here. We give you the option to opt out of the sharing and the use of Glide services at any time by following this “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” link. The link is also available on our websites and mobile apps.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise the rights described above, send us a request that (1) provides sufficient information to allow us to verify that you are the person about whom we have collected personal information; and (2) describes your request in sufficient detail to allow us to understand, evaluate, and respond to it. Each request that meets both of these criteria will be considered a “Valid Request.” We may not respond to requests that do not meet these criteria. Glide reserves the right to request additional information from you if we consider it necessary for verification purposes. We will only use personal information provided in a Valid Request to verify you and complete your request. You do not need an account to submit a Valid Request.
We will work to respond to your Valid Request within 45 days of receipt. We will not charge you a fee for making a Valid Request unless your Valid Request(s) is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that your Valid Request warrants a fee, we will notify you of the fee and explain that decision before completing your request.

You may also choose a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf to submit your requests (“Authorized Agent”). To submit the completed form, please email the completed form to privacy@glide.com with with the subject line “California Consumer Request Started”. Failure to do so may result in Glide denying your request. You understand that Glide may contact you directly in order to verify your identity and confirm the designation of your authorized agent. Glide may also request additional documentation to verify your identity.
We Will Not Discriminate Against You for Exercising Your Rights Under the CCPA
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. We will not deny you our goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, or provide you a lower quality of goods and services if you exercise your rights under the CCPA. However, we may offer different tiers of our Services as allowed by applicable data privacy laws (including the CCPA) with varying prices, rates, or levels of quality of the goods or services you receive related to the value of personal information that we receive from you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We are constantly trying to improve our Services, so we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time as well, but we will alert you to changes by placing a notice on the https:// www.glide.com website, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive emails from us (or you haven’t provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the Services after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes. Use of information we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected.
