Glide takes the protection of your personal information very seriously and exercises special care. Please read the following to learn how we treat your personal information.

By purchasing, accessing or using our Services or otherwise engaging with us, you acknowledge and consent to our collection, use, and sharing of personal information as described in this privacy policy. Accordingly, we encourage you to read this policy carefully and contact us with any questions.

Remember that your use of Glide's Services is at all times subject to our Terms of Use, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use.

What this Privacy Policy Covers

This privacy policy applies to personal information (PI). Except as described below, this privacy policy applies to all personal information we collect when you access or use our services, websites, and apps, (collectively, our “Services”), communicate with us (such as by mail, email, phone, chat, social media, or in-person), and otherwise interact with us or our representatives.

This privacy policy does not apply to data that is not personal information, including anonymous, de-identified, or aggregated data, even when such data has been derived from personal information.

How We Collect Your Personal Information

The types of personal data we collect depend on your interactions with us and the nature of the Services we provide to you. We collect personal information about you in four primary ways: Data collected directly from you; Data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies; Data collected from affiliates and third parties; and Derived data collected using or combining additional personal data about you.

Personal Data You Provide Directly to Us

We may collect personal data directly from you in a variety of ways, including when you apply, sign up, or pay for our Services, create or modify an online account, fill out a form or survey, interact with our representatives, or submit information through our Services. The personal data we collect directly from you may include:

Personal Data Automatically Collected Through Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you visit our Site and use our Services, we may collect certain user information automatically from your device. In some territories, including California and countries in the European Economic Area, this information may be considered personal data or personal information under applicable data protection laws.

Specifically, the user information we collect automatically may include information like your IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser-type, broad geographic location (e.g. country or city-level location) and other technical information.  We may also collect user information about how your device has interacted with our Site, including the pages accessed and links clicked.

Collecting this information enables us to better understand the visitors who come to our Site, where they come from, and what content on our Site is of interest to them. We use this information for our business purposes, including internal analytics purposes and to improve the quality and relevance of our Site to our visitors.

Glide Services use cookies and similar technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, and JavaScript (collectively, “Cookies”) to enable our servers to recognize your web browser and tell us how and when you visit and use our Services, to analyze trends, learn about our user base and operate and improve our Services. We may also supplement the information we collect from you with information received from third parties, including third parties that have placed their own Cookies on your device(s). We use the following types of Cookies:

•        Essential Cookies. Essential Cookies are required for providing you with features or services that you have requested. For example, certain Cookies enable you to log into secure areas of the Glide Services. Disabling these Cookies may make certain features and services unavailable.

•        Functional Cookies. Functional Cookies are used to record your choices and settings regarding the Glide Services, maintain your preferences over time and recognize you when you return to the Glide Services. These Cookies help us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).

•        Performance/Analytical Cookies. Performance/Analytical Cookies allow us to understand how visitors use our Services such as by collecting information about the number of visitors to the Services, what pages visitors view on our Services and how long visitors are viewing pages on the Services. Performance/Analytical Cookies also help us measure the performance of our advertising campaigns in order to help us improve our campaigns and the Services’ content for those who engage with our advertising. For example, Google Inc. (“Google”) uses cookies in connection with its Google Analytics services. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Glide Services is subject to the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You have the option to opt-out of Google’s use of Cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page at www.google.com/privacy_ads.html or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.

The personal data we collect from third-parties may include:

Personal Data We Derive

For example, these third parties may include providers of real estate form libraries, insurance providers, natural hazard disclosure report providers, and our transaction management system. Certain functions within the Glide Services may give you the option to share, sign, edit or send information. Information you share with third party platforms is subject to that third party’s terms of use and privacy policies, which we recommend you review.

How We Protect Your Personal Information

The security of your information is important to us. We use a variety of physical, technical, and administrative measures to safeguard information in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure, and modification. For example, we take steps to limit access to sensitive information from or about you to those Glide employees, agents, and contractors who have a legitimate business reason to access such information. We also use measures like encryption and hashing to help protect sensitive information when in transmission. Glide Services use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of personal information that you provide to us. You should also help protect your data by appropriately selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism; limiting access to your computer or device and browser; and signing off after you have finished accessing your account. Although we work to protect the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, please be aware that no method of transmitting data over the Internet or storing data is completely secure, especially if you are sharing business equipment, such as computers, with others. Despite our security efforts, we cannot guarantee that our safeguards will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose personal data. We maintain security incident response plans to investigate and remediate incidents involving unauthorized access to personal data. If you have concerns about your account’s security, please contact privacy@glide.com for assistance.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to use your user information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in back-up archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
